OVERVIEW

The Myrtle Beach Elite Gamification Program is a fan engagement initiative launching alongside the first-ever Myrtle Beach Elite Invitational at the Myrtle Beach Marathon (MBM).

Participants select one male and one female elite athlete they believe will win the Invitational. Based on the final placements of those athletes, participants earn entries into the official sweepstakes drawing.

HOW IT WORKS

Participation

  • Open to registered runners, fans and spectators age 18+
  • Participants select one male and one female elite athlete as their predicted winners
  • One entry per email address
  • Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on March 6, 2026
  • No substitutions or changes to entries are allowed after submission; if a selected athlete scratches or does not compete, no entries are awarded for that athlete

Sweepstakes Entry Structure

The finishing placement of each selected elite athlete determines how many sweepstakes entries a participant receives:

  • 1st Place: 5 entries
  • 2nd Place: 4 entries
  • 3rd Place: 3 entries

Entries are cumulative if both selected athletes place in the top three.

All winners will be selected at random and do not need to be present to win.

Registration in any event will not increase the odds of winning a prize. Odds will vary depending on the number of entries received.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible Participants:

  • Registered participants (18+)

  • Spectators (18+)

  • Fans (18+)

 

Eligibility Exclusions:

The sweepstakes is open to registered participants of Myrtle Beach Marathon weekend events except the following individuals or entities, who are not eligible to participate or win prizes:

  • Athletes competing in the elite field of any Myrtle Beach Marathon weekend event
  • Immediate family members of any elite athlete
  • Agents, representatives, coaches, managers, sponsors, or companies that represent, manage, employ, or are otherwise associated with any elite athlete

For the purposes of this sweepstakes, “immediate family” is defined as a spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, or any individual residing in the same household, whether related or not.

Participation by any ineligible individual or entity is prohibited. Entries submitted by ineligible parties will be deemed void.

PRIZES

Participants will be entered into a sweepstakes drawing for the following prizes (12 prizes in total):

  • 3 × $750 flight vouchers
  • 3 × Free year of racing from Capstone
  • 3 × Free pairs of running shoes from Black Dog Running Company
  • 3 × Free 2-night offseason stays at HotelBLUE (“For when summer vacation just wasn’t long enough.”)

Disclaimer: All prizes are subject to partner terms and availability. Each participant can only win one prize. Winners of a prize will be excluded from winning additional prizes.

Prize Announcement

  • Sweepstakes drawing will take place live during the post-race party following the Elite Awards Ceremony (approximately 11:15 AM). Time is subject to change based on the finalizing of results. 
  • Winners do not need to be present to win, but will be announced live at the post-race party.
  • Winners will be notified via email.
  • Prize certificates will be distributed within 7–10 days following the event.
