This is an exclusive competition for the fastest marathoners in the Southeast where current pros, aspiring athletes, and even potential future Olympians can go head-to-head on a lightning-fast course, racing for prestige and personal bests.
$17,500 Prize Purse (awarded to the top 5 men and women)

Athlete Requirements
The Myrtle Beach Elite field will highlight our region’s heroes, so athletes must currently reside in, or have ties to, the Southeast. Eligible states include:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Florida
- Georgia
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Virginia
- West Virginia

Athletes should have run the following times in an NCAA or USATF-sanctioned track meet or USATF-sanctioned road race with a certified course since January 1, 2024:
Men:
- Marathon 2:29:59 or faster
- Half Marathon: 1:09:59 or faster
- 10k/10,000m: 29:59 or faster
- 5k/5,000m: 14:29 or faster
Women:
- Marathon: 2:49:59 or faster
- Half Marathon: 1:19:59 or faster
- 10k/10,000m: 34:59 or faster
- 5k/5,000m: 16:59 or faster
Athletes with times near these standards or performances of similar quality at distances not listed above may be considered at the Myrtle Beach Elite Program Coordinator’s discretion.
Athletes selected for the Myrtle Beach Elite Pro Field may be subject to drug testing. Athletes with a past anti-doping, whereabouts, or ABP suspension of greater than one year will not be considered. Athletes with a past suspension of one year or less may be considered at the Coordinator’s discretion.
